At Mount Stewart, we have 78 half day places in the Nursery; 39 in the morning and 39 in the afternoon. In addition to the 15 hour and 30 hours model below, parents can also choose to purchase additional hours, if they wish. We offer 3-4 year old places and 2 year old provision.

Nursery Times- 15 Hour entitlement for children aged 3
 

All children are eligible for a 15 hours funded nursery place from the term after their 3rd birthday. This means that if your child turns 3 between September and December they are eligible from January. If they turn 3 between January and March they are eligible from April and if they turn 3 between April and August they are eligible from September. If your child is not eligible you have the option of purchasing sessions. 

If your child is attending nursery for 15 hours per week they will either attend the morning or afternoon session. Timings for these sessions are as follows:

Morning session- 8.45am- 11.45am

Afternoon session- 12.35pm-3.35pm

Nursery Times- 30 hours entitlement

If your child is attending nursery for 30 hours per week the timings for these sessions is as follows:

8.45am-3.35pm. It is important to note that the lunch club which runs from 11.45am to 12.35pm is not included in the 30 hours entitlement. This is at an additional cost of £5.50 per day for 3-4 year old’s. For our 2-3 year old provision this will be at an additional cost of £6.50.

It is important to note that you must apply the term before you wish your child to start with us for 30 hours and that 30 hour funding does not apply until the term after your child has turned 3 years old. 

2 year old funding

Some families with 2 years olds are eligible for a 'golden ticket' which provides them with 15 hours of funding for a nursery place until their term after their 3rd birthday. To check if you are eligible for funding for your 2 year old please call 02089372462/3010 or click here to apply.
